Leonard Laskow, M.D.

Author of Healing With Love presents:

February 16 – 18, 2013
Saturday – Monday 9:30 am – 5:30 pm
Phoenix, Arizona – Location near Shea & Hwy 51

Come to realize that you already abide as your awakened self. Only identification with the conditioned filter of mind veils your true nature – awareness itself. Allow your inner light of awareness to shine forth as freedom, love, joy and peace by dissolving these apparent veils of identification with object, content and form.

Through a series of experiential step by step processes, this seminar allows you to gently and lovingly dissolve these veils. What remains is the true You, expressing itself uniquely and universally simultaneously. Then:
Latent talents and abilities unfold, revealing life purpose
Relationships shift, deepen and give meaning to form
Healing occurs naturally on all levels what some would call miracles
Grace and Love are revealed to be ever present
Forgiving and loving your self releases the resistance to being who you truly are.
As the heart opens, the truth and splendor of who we really are is finally revealed and expressed as inner peace, love, joy and freedom.

Registration Fee: $360

Personal Consultations with Dr. Laskow are available after the seminar.

Special Evening of Kirtan and Gong
with Michael Kolasa and Friends playing Kirtan
& Jere Friedman playing gongs

Kirtan is the repetition of sacred mantras through call and response chanting. The mantras are primarily in the Sanskrit language, the oldest spiritual language in the world, and are basically the names or aspects of God. Kirtan is a simple and joyful practice that centers and calms the mind and brings rejuvenation and well-being to the body, mind and soul. Michael Kolasa incorporates both traditional and contemporary musical styles in his expression of Kirtan, making it accessible to a wide variety of audiences. Michael has a newly released CD entitled ALL MY HEART.

“Jere’s gong playing has a unique way of taking you right to the feet of the divine. At a recent gong bath I experienced a new sound he was making with the gongs and it took me right out of my body in a vortex of light. I was surrounded with female energy and she said to me, ‘Experience the unconditional love. This is who you are and this is how you change the world.’ Experiencing the unconditional love and my essence of it brought me to tears. Thank you Divine and thank you Jere” KSH, Phoenix, AZ 5/19/2012

About Jere Friedman

“The gongs found me,” says Jere Friedman. “From the moment that the mallet struck the gong at my first gongbath, I felt drawn – compelled – to learn to play these marvelous instruments and to share with others the joy and healing they bring to me.”

Soon after that first experience Jere began learning to play the gong. In November 2009, Jere had the privilege of attending a three-day “playshop” with world renowned Gongmaster Don Conreaux. Since then, Jere has studied with Don for an additional five days and has spent countless hours playing for himself, his wife, Ellen, and others at private and public gongbaths and other meditation events. Each gongbath is a unique, uplifting, and joyous experience for the player and the listeners – everyone departs feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and energized.

Jere now is a trained volunteer for Ryan House, a palliative care facility in Phoenix for children with life-threatening conditions. Jere and his gongs visit Ryan House regularly to play for – and with – the children and their families as well as the staff and volunteers. Jere shows the children who are physically able how to play the gongs. In some cases, this means helping them to hold the mallet in their little hands and striking the gong with them. “It’s such a joy to watch the kids marvel at the amazing sounds the gongs make – their eyes light up, they giggle with delight, and their loving smiles and hugs just send me soaring!” says Jere.

Jere also regularly serves as a trained volunteer with Hospice of the Valley. At HOV, Jere and his gongs offer calming gong meditations for individuals nearing the end of their lives, as well as their families and friends and HOV staff and volunteers. The soothing sounds of the gongs provide a few moments of peaceful meditation during the final stages of a person’s life.

Jere collaborates regularly with other musicians, including pianist, performer, and educator extraordinaire Lynne Haeseler. Lynne organizes, orchestrates, and conducts large-scale meditative experiences such as Solstice and Mysterium. These joyous, uplifting events include piano, gongs, chanting choir, African drums, violin, flute, organ, dancers, and other instruments.

From time to time Jere and his gongs also perform with The Shakti Pistols, a novel musical mash-up of kirtan chants, Grateful Dead and other rock tunes, and the gongs! Talk about fulfilling your life's dreams of "just playin' in the band!"

Jere currently has the good fortune to share his life with four remarkable gongs:
• Mr. Charlie(1) – a 32” Paiste Symphonic gong
• Sylvia(2) – a 20” Paiste Symphonic gong
• Al Tira(3) – a 38” Paiste Sedna Planetary gong
• Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh(4) – a 24” Paiste Uranus Planetary gong
